Project Management Techniques
Learning from Mistakes is Expensive - In many organisations when staff are appointed to a project there is a tendency for training in project management to be overlooked. As a result most learning takes place on the job; in other words, people learn from their mistakes. This is an expensive alternative to training which few projects can afford.
Essential Techniques - PRINCE2® offers an effective structure for the management of any project but, deliberately, includes few specific techniques. To complement our PRINCE2 courses we offer a range of general project management training options from a generic, one-day overview to an intensive, three-day course which covers the essential techniques used in project management, such as estimating, planning and monitoring progress. We also offer an advanced project management techniques course which includes the most widely used project planning tool, Microsoft Project.
Different Approaches - We also offer short courses on risk and change management and Goal Directed Project Management (GDPM), a powerful and pragmatic approach to gaining the consensus of all stakeholders on the objectives of a project.
Tailored Training - All our generic project management courses are fully compatible with PRINCE2 and can be tailored to suit the needs of organizations or individuals. They run on a closed, in-house basis.
