Vision and Blueprint Development
Audience
Programme Sponsors, Senior Responsible Owners, Business Change Managers, Sponsoring Group members, Key Stakeholders, Programme Managers, Project Executives, Programme Office staff and Team members.
Background
The Vision and Blueprint are the main design documents for a change programme. The Vision is used to communicate the ideas and motivate the change with stakeholders. The Blueprint contains the detail needed to design the projects and benefits. It is used as a control document to manage changes in the external strategy and changes in project outputs.
Objectives
On completion, delegates will understand how to:
- Create a Vision and a Blueprint
- Identify key participants in developing the Blueprint
- Define projects to deliver the Blueprint and their sequence
- Explain the relationship between the Blueprint and the Business Case
- Align the Blueprint with Strategic Objectives and Benefits

This workshop uses a number of practical exercises and simulations to reinforce the techniques and concepts covered in the workshop material, in addition to numerous examples from the lecturers’ own experiences of managing programmes and projects.
