PRINCE2® Practitioner Re-registration
Audience
This 2 day workshop is intended for delegates who are familiar with the 2005 edition of the PRINCE2 manual. It is particularly suitable for those:
- preparing for the PRINCE2 Re-registration exam,
- who wish to re-take the Practitioner examination
- who have taken the Foundation exam based on the 2005 edition of the PRINCE2 manual and want to sit the 2009 version of the Practitioner exam
Prerequisites
As a minimum delegates should have passed the PRINCE2 Foundation examination.
Course Aims
The aim of the workshop is to review the PRINCE2 project management method and prepare delegates for the PRINCE2 Practitioner or Re-registration examinations.
Extensive use is made of case study material which is designed to help delegates to:
- Explain the reasons behind, and the relationships between, any of the PRINCE2 elements
- Create or critique examples of PRINCE2 management products
- Apply the elements of PRINCE2 in a realistic, practical setting
- Justify the use of PRINCE2 within the exam scenario, and explain the benefits of its application to that scenario
Course Objectives
By the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:
- Explain the key differences between PRINCE2 2005 and PRINCE2 2009
- Apply the PRINCE2 project management method to small, medium and large project scenarios
- Understand the requirements of the PRINCE2 Practitioner examinations
- Apply the techniques required by the PRINCE2 Practitioner examinations
- ake the PRINCE2 Practitioner or Re-registration examination

Course Content
Pre-Course Study
Delegates are asked to complete a small amount of pre-course study to familiarise themselves with the layout of the 2009 manual and the case studies used during the workshop
Review of the PRINCE2 Method

Case Studies
Three different case studies are used throughout the workshop to allow delegates to consolidate their knowledge of PRINCE2. The following key themes are covered:
- The PRINCE2 Timeline – (a refreshingly easy to follow approach to the PRINCE2 processes)
- Setting Up and Using Project Controls
- Plans & Planning
- Working with Suppliers and Teams
- Issue and Risk Management
- Closing a Project
In addition, there is flexibility in the workshop timetable to allow individual delegates to focus on any other elements of the method which have caused them concern
