What is MSP?
MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) is a framework for managing change and delivering organizational benefits from a set of related projects. It is regarded as best practice in the UK and is used by government departments, local authorities, charities and commercial organizations to coordinate and direct programmes of all kinds, regardless of scope, timescale or budget.
Objectives
The course will enable delegates to :
- Understand the benefits and principles underlying a structured approach to programme management
- Recognise the processes required during change programmes which enable organisations to realise business benefits
- Apply the main MSP Principles, Governance Themes and Transformational Flow to a realistic programme case study
- Prepare for and take the MSP Foundation and Practitioner examinations
Duration
Five days
Examinations
Delegates are not required to carry out any significant pre-course preparation as our blend of learning methods provides comprehensive preparation for both examinations which are taken during the course.
However, the course is intensive and delegates are advised to undertake some revision work in the evenings to prepare for the examinations.
The course fee includes a copy of the latest edition of the official MSP Guide and all examination fees.
Course Content
A realistic case study scenario is used extensively throughout the course to allow delegates to
consolidate their knowledge of MSP through hands-on, syndicate work.
